How to photograph your prongs:

• Shoot head-on, looking straight down at the stone from the top.

• Tap your screen on the prongs so they’re in sharp focus. Blurry prongs can’t be rated.

• Get as close as your phone allows, in natural light, and clean the ring first if you can.

• Add a side view if possible.

Your Prong Wear Rating

We rate each prong from 0% wear (like new) to 100% wear (worn paper-thin and about to break off):

• 0–25%: Healthy, no action needed

• 25–50%: Showing wear, recheck in 6 months

• 50–75%: Retip recommended soon

• 75–100%: Urgent, your stone is at risk
